Most people would cringe at hearing bands say things like “Influences: Cut Copy, Daft Punk, Joy Division, The Smiths”, but papavspretty are true musical prodigys. As i understand, Lead Singer/Guitarist/Keyboardist/Yelper/Crazy solo player Tom, is the main artistic force behind this Sydney 5-piece. These guys are roughly 16-19 years old ish, yet thier songs are soulful, heart warming, provactive, and most of all, mature. With Triple J airplay to boast, and a huge array of free downloads floating around the net, these guys are sure to go far.

If you ever have a chance to go check them out live, DO IT! They might even treat you with a Joy Division “Love Will Tear Us Apart” cover, or even their spectacular rendition of “Digital Love” By Daft Punk.

We are gathering a portfolio of artists, musicians, filmmakers, and designers to exhibit in our artspace, to present their works, ideas, and vision to the art world. SNAP. DOT. DASH. Rebel against the cloistered art world. Youth of today breaching elitist art cultures and establishing a niche of our own, on our terms - without the costs and laborious processes and fine-print of traditional galleries [always ‘terms and conditions apply’]. SNAP. DOT. DASH. Realise Art beyond the classroom. Taking artworks out of the rigidity and scrutiny of school and college subjects, allowing for freedom of expression and personal development of the artists’ concepts. SNAP. DOT. DASH. A new artist group from Sydney, tapping into a fresh source of artistic and creative talents in young people from across the country. Inviting anybody under the age of 25 to join us in compiling a dynamic and innovative exhibition for a Sydney gallery space, with submissions in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, music, computer and graphic design, film, mixed media, fashion and textiles.
